IMDS (International Material Data System) was developed by the automotive industry in order to enable the gathering and secure storage of information on all parts and materials along the automotive supply chain. This is required so that car manufacturers and their suppliers can meet the obligations placed on them by national and international standards, laws and regulations.
ARTIS have expertise in reporting automotive rubber compounds in IMDS. The resulting MDS (Material Data Sheets) can be constructed to fully comply with GADSL (Global Automotive Declarable Substance List) and, if required, any additional customer declaration standards, whilst avoiding unnecessarily detailed disclosure of formulations and compounding innovations.
