ARTIS Chief Scientist, Martyn Bennett, has been awarded the Hancock Medal by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. The Award will presented at the annual awards ceremony at the IOM3 headquarters in London in November.

The award is given to recognise outstanding contributions to the rubber industry made by an individual and is awarded every two years, alternating with the Colwyn Medal.

Martyn has provided the rubber industry with a credible alternative consultancy through ARTIS and has supported the RIEG through contributions and committee members for more than a decade, he has personally supervised PhD’s at Loughborough and Queen Mary and contributed to several others at Bath and Bristol Universities. Martyn Chaired the Industry Advisory Board of Loughborough University for several years and regularly contributes to the Queen Mary Board. He also sits on the Polymer Sector Advisory Board for the Materials KTN and the board of the Polymer society of the IOM3.
