Leah Ritchens appointed Development scientist for ARTIS

Leah has been Materials Analyst with ARTIS since its inception and has a long history with Avon prior to that. Joined Avon over 20 years ago as a trainee and has worked in protection for some of that time in the lab facility.

Leah has worked with the Materials Development Centre, which was the forerunner of ARTIS and is one of our key analytical experts for the consultancy business with in depth knowledge of diary, protection & defence. She will also have key account responsibility in a whole range of other sectors outside of the Avon group.

The new role will allow Leah to work on more in-depth projects and in particular she will take joint responsibility for the demanding environment facility opening the capabilities to markets requiring high temp / high pressure ageing in challenging chemical environments. Leah will retain her responsibilities for the filter test rigs and for dairy and for other analytical testing. Leah will report directly to Analytical Services Manager Dr Chris Norris.
