Dr Ahmed Farid

Joined ARTIS in 2012 from Metropolitan University of London where he was a senior lecturer in rubber science and engineering for over twenty years.  Prior to this he worked in the sports footwear and medical industries. As a senior lecturer at the Metropolitan University of London Dr Farid is well versed in delivering interesting and topical lectures. One the real benefits that Dr Farid will introduce to attendees is how to combine commercial thinking with the world of research.

Martyn Bennett

Martyn has been the Chief Scientist at ARTIS its formation in 2007 and a guest lecturer on degree programmes and short courses at Loughborough University and Queen Mary University London. Martyn has also given many public presentations on various topics. Statistical analysis and experimental design are very close to his heart and he has recently used these techniques to model chemical interactions between rubbers and cleaning chemical used in the dairy industry.
